The World Wide Web continues to amaze even the most optimistic forecasters. The number of registered domain names, of new Web sites, and the number of electronic commerce sites grows constantly. The demand for skilled people in this field continues to grow also.
As a non-profit, membership-supported organization, the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW)—working with Internet-industry and educational leaders—has developed the Certified Professional Web (CPW) program. This program provides education, training, and Webmaster certification. It is available through Certiport Centers at community colleges, universities, and training companies worldwide. Its certification exams are based on industry-identified core competencies in both general and specific areas of practice.
WOW has partnered with Certiport for exam development and distribution of Certified Professional Webmaster (CPW) certification exams through Certiport's channel of authorized testing centers in North America. The first test in this series offered by Certiport is the Certified Apprentice Webmaster exam and certification.
