Certiport’s IC³ Chosen for Microsoft Innovative Teachers
Programme
IC³ to Certify ICT Skills of Teachers
LONDON – February 3, 2004 Certiport® today announced that its globally
recognised Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³®) has been
selected by Microsoft® as a key measurement of skills developed through
the new Microsoft Innovative Teachers programme.
Innovative Teachers is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme
designed specifically for the teaching profession. The programme provides training
to help teachers integrate Information Communications Technology (ICT) into
the learning process, with the aim of spreading best practice and teaching
innovation. Membership is completely free to any teacher that wants to sign
up, and participants in the programme are encouraged to gain accreditation
as part of their commitment to CPD.

from and inspire each other, the Innovative Teachers programme enables teachers
to use technology resources to help make learning interesting and engaging
