Curriculum
Students attend your college for many reasons...from enrolling to take a course for personal enrichment, to upgrading job-related skills, or to earning a certificate or an associate degree. An important way you can assist them with their job-related skills is by incorporating certification into your curriculum through a number of methods:
Class Credit
ACE College Credit Recommendation
GE Requirement
Foundation Course
|
Pre-requisite
Graduation Requirement
Degree/Program Requirement
Final Exam
Test-Out Option
|
Using official courseware materials (textbooks, computer-based training, videos, etc.) in your school's training ensures that the classes are designed to prepare your students for the most current certifications. Many publishers create items that match exam objectives and are similar to the materials you already are using in your classes. They can be identified through the use of an authorized courseware logo.
Many community colleges have already modified their curriculum to recognize their student's certification accomplishments and to ensure higher standards of learning.
As a Certiport Center, you can work with your school's administration to recommend curriculum changes while you offer certification testing on-site to further accelerate the academic needs of your students.
