Many community colleges already offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for completition of training courses and certification exams. Others offer required or elective courses that must be taken and completed successfully in order to obtain the certification.
In addition, students have the opportunity to earn college credit for their certifications. The American Council on Education (ACE) has issued a one semester hour college credit recommendation for each Microsoft Office Specialist certification for Microsoft Office XP applications. ACE has also issued a one semester hour college credit recommendation for completing IC³ Certification.
