David Saedi - President and CEO
During his six-year tenure with Certiport, David has been instrumental in helping grow the company from start-up
to the leading provider of global, performance-based certification programs and services. David has played an integral
role in cultivating the company's relationship with Microsoft, working jointly on strategy planning and implementation
of Microsoft Office Specialist certification. He also has headed Certiport efforts to diversify into new
markets.
David has more than 20 years of management experience in numerous industries. Prior to joining Certiport, he served
as Vice President of Business Development for CENTRA. In this capacity, he worked with the president of the company to
restructure CENTRA following its acquisition of Equifax Healthcare Systems. He is credited with re-engineering company
initiatives and creating a quality assurance program as well as managing the construction of CENTRA's new $12 million
headquarters. David also has served as Vice President of Marketing for Design Access, Deputy Executive Director of the
American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and as a senior analyst with the Servio Group. In his position with
ASID, David's achievements included working to institute statewide legislation on behalf of designers and architects.
David has a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis on marketing from the City University
Business School in London, England; and a bachelor's degree in chemical sciences and management from the University of
Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He has completed several professional development programs and is a
member of the American Management Association, American Society of Association Executives, and British Market Research
Society.
Kent Goates - Executive Vice President and COO
As Certiport's Chief Operating Officer, Kent oversees the effective implementation and operation of the company's
services and products as well as leading efforts in strategic planning, business development, and efficient systems.
With over 23 years of management experience, Kent brings to Certiport tested leadership and abilities in: finance &
control, operations management, strategic planning and budgeting, capital management, operational and economic analysis,
project implementation, information systems, personnel mentoring, risk management, benefit and welfare systems, taxation,
and business development.
Prior to joining Certiport, Kent served as Chief Financial Officer of Kennecott Energy Company, a major U.S. coal
mining company located in northeast Wyoming, and as head of the tax department for Kennecott Corporation, a holding
company overseeing exploration, development, and mining by several of North America's largest mining organizations.
His previous experience includes working for Price Waterhouse in New York City, Los Angeles and Orange County, California;
and Arthur Andersen in Salt Lake City.
Kent is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of Utah.
He has participated in a number of management and leadership training courses and is a member of several professional
organizations.
Jan Day - Vice President of Finance
Jan has been with Certiport since its inception and has been responsible for all financial and human resource
activities. As Vice President of Finance, his current focus is cash management, presenting the company's financial
position to investors, and ensuring the viability of Certiport. During his tenure with the company, Jan is credited
with formalizing budgetary processes, operational policies, and procedures in purchasing, travel, and human resources.
Jan has served in key financial positions for 15 years. Prior to joining Certiport, he worked as the New Product
Research Manager for DHI Computing Services, Inc., where he developed marketing strategy for the company's Internet
Services Division. Jan's most significant experience outside of Certiport was serving as the International Credit
Manager for Novell, Inc. In this capacity, he coordinated activities between the sales and finance groups, resulting
in average quarterly revenue of $105 million and saving the company $1.1 million from bankrupt customers. He also was
instrumental in helping to increase sales in emerging markets including: Brazil, 32 percent increase in sales; Russia,
300 percent increase in sales during the first three years; and the Eastern European Region, 85 percent increase in
sales. Prior to Novell, Jan also served as a financial planner for Spectrum Financial Group.
Jan has a bachelor's of science degree in finance from Brigham Young University.
Stewart World - Vice President of Technology
Stewart leads the Certiport technology team focusing on operations, product development and deployment, and
quality assurance. In his role, he oversees the strategic direction of technology used in the development of
Certiport business-to-business and business-to-consumer e-commerce portals. He also is responsible for the
examination engines and interfaces. Stewart applies his background in process engineering and methodology to simplify
and stabilize Certiport systems and product releases. He is credited with dramatically improving quality and stability
of current systems while focusing on future products and functionality. Stewart's latest efforts have reduced the
software failure rate from 20 to less than two percent.
Stewart offers 16 years of extensive, seasoned experience in e-commerce development, strategic planning,
implementing multi-million dollar products, and developing and executing marketing campaigns. He has been recognized
nationwide for his ability to build and foster team growth, formalize methodologies and processes, and motivate highly
successful individuals. Prior to joining Certiport, Stewart served as Vice President of Product Development for
AgencyWorks and as Applications Functional Manager and Senior Staff Analyst for Williams Energy. He also spent 11
years as Applications Planner Analyst II, Senior Program Analyst, and Control analyst for UNISYS.
Stewart has a bachelor's of science degree in computer information technologies from Weber State University in
Ogden, Utah, and also has three years of medical technology schooling from the University of Utah. He has completed
several professional development programs and is Sun Certified in Java Release 2 Programming.
Steve Hafen - Vice President of Certification Programs
Steve is responsible for leading the marketing, sales, and distribution of the Microsoft Office Specialist and
the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) programs. In over two years at Certiport, Steve has played an
integral role in leading several strategic projects for the company, including the creation of the Certiport name
and brand identity, and the introduction, launch and growth of the IC³ program.
Steve has nearly 10 years of broad-based experience in business and education. He has been involved in the
technology industry most of his career. In addition to his role at Certiport, Steve is currently teaching a
Brand Management class to students pursing master’s degrees at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of
Management, where he has taught business and marketing courses for over six years.
Prior to joining Certiport, Steve was the Director of Marketing Operations for Novell, Inc. In this capacity,
he was responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive, web-based marketing planning and management
system to track ongoing progress on worldwide marketing initiatives. While at Novell, Steve also held positions
in the product management, strategy, marketing and sales divisions, contributing to Novell’s rise to become the
leading provider of net business solutions.
Steve has a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and
Japanese from Brigham Young University.
Bruce Reemsnyder - Vice President of Program Management
Bruce serves as the vice president responsible for the Microsoft Office Specialist Program. Since joining Certiport
in 2000, he has acted as the primary liaison to the Microsoft Corporation and has been instrumental in managing this strategic
partnership.
Bruce's responsibilities include designing, developing and executing the various sub-programs that constitute the Microsoft
Office Specialist Program. His team of internal and external program managers oversee the sub-programs for Authorized Testing
Centers, IT Academies, Vendors of Approved Courseware, Masters and Master Instructors. The sub-programs attract thousands of
members to support and promote the Microsoft Office Specialist Program around the world.
Bruce brings twelve years of experience managing strategic relationships with large clients in the information technology,
energy and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Certiport, he served as senior corporate legal counsel to the
Williams Companies, where he negotiated and managed contractual relationships with numerous Fortune 500 companies. Bruce also
has several years experience as a litigation attorney in state and federal courts.
Bruce holds a juris doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor's of business administration in
finance from the University of Texas. He is also licensed to practice law in the states of Utah and Texas.
Beverley Keating MacIntyre - CLO
Beverley Keating MacIntyre, has a degree in Special Education with a specialization in the identification
of training objectives; design and customization of course content, materials, delivery and assessment methods;
identification of learning styles; and planning of program delivery to address these styles (use of multimedia,
sensory learning, etc.).
Beverley has over 17 years of hands-on training experience as well as exposure in the development and
implementation of training/intervention programs. Throughout her work history, Beverley has provided project
management and training for the public school sector, Human Resources and Development Departments, the Department
of Advanced Education and Labor, and in her role as CEO of BKM Research & Development Inc.

Michelle Scott - Vice President of Human Resources
Michelle is responsible for implementing progressive human resources practices in support of Certiport growth. As
Vice President of Human Resources, she oversees all human resources activities including recruiting and retaining
employees, developing and executing human resources budgets, fostering a positive and productive work environment,
managing benefits programs, and administering mentoring initiatives.
Michelle has more than 17 years of human resources and business development experience. Prior to joining Certiport,
she worked as the Director of Human Resources and Client Relations for Center 7. In this capacity, she successfully
recruited and staffed 165 senior technical positions in less than 12 months while maintaining a retention level of 98
percent. Michelle also has experience working as Senior Human Resources Consultant/director of Internal Client
Services for Employer Solutions, as Director of Operations for Axent Technologies, as MIS Operations Systems Manager
for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and as a project officer in the U.S. Air Force.
Michelle earned a master's degree in human resources from Colombia Southern University and bachelor's degrees in
communications from Southern Utah University and in computer science from Indiana at Purdue University. She also has
completed Senior Professional Human Resources Certification.
